The Stamp 2 immigration permission lets you study an English language course in Ireland and work part-time. Here's how it works.
On Stamp 2 you may work up to 20 hours per week during term and up to 40 hours per week during official holiday periods (May–August and 15 Dec – 15 Jan).
You can stack a maximum of three eligible English language courses (roughly two years total). After that, you must move to a higher-education programme to keep your student permission.
ILEP is being replaced by the QQI-managed TrustEd Ireland Quality Mark. We display both badges where applicable. Always confirm a school's status on the official immigration website before paying tuition fees.
